This Isn’t Just Travel. It’s a Full Rebellion

For the ones who keep everyone alive, on time, and functioning… while quietly plotting an escape.
I build trips that make sense, feel easy, and don’t require you to earn a PhD in “47 Open Tabs.”
Give me the wheel. I’m driving.

Because You Deserve More Than Just a Vacation.

I know your PTO is basically a rare gemstone.
I’m a nurse practitioner married to a cop/Army vet—so yeah, I get the long shifts, the burnout, and the kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix.
That’s why I plan travel that’s actually relaxing: no chaos, no spreadsheet Olympics, and no “where do you want to eat?” decisions. I’ve got it.

Meet the Collective Behind Voight Travel

Meet the tiny but mighty team behind Voight Travel: me, Karen, and my husband Warren. I’m the travel designer, detail nerd, and storyteller who loves turning your time off into something truly awesome. Warren is the veteran/LEO comic relief who keeps me grounded, asks the practical questions nobody else thinks of, and makes sure every trip passes the “real life humans can actually do this” test.

Meet Karen

My love for travel didn’t start in some glamorous far-off villa. It started with planning trips for friends, obsessing over maps like they were artwork, and realizing I had an almost ridiculous knack for details that most people miss. Before long, everyone I knew was saying, “Can you plan our vacation? You’re really good at this.”

Travel has always pulled at me — especially the feeling of finally standing in a place I’d only ever read about. That moment when it hits you in the chest and you think, Oh… this is real. After years of helping other people find that same feeling, I finally turned what came naturally into Voight Travel.

Now I design practical trips for real humans living real, chaotic lives,  usually while navigating some kind of funny disaster with my husband, Warren. (And yes, the Eagles were right: Take it easy. I try. I really do.)

My goal? To send you on a trip that leaves you feeling amazing, less burned out, and a little more connected to your life than when you left.

Voight Travel Philosophy:

Here’s what I believe: travel should make sense for the person taking it. Full stop.

Sometimes that looks slow and thoughtful. Sometimes it looks like organized chaos, packed days, early mornings, late nights, and squeezing everything you can out of the moment  because that’s what brings you joy. Neither is better. What matters is that it’s intentional and not an accident.

I don’t believe in default itineraries, checklists pulled from the internet, or pretending there’s one “right” way to travel. I believe in paying attention — to the place you’re visiting, to how you move through the world, and to what actually makes the trip worth taking for you.
